چکیده
The goal of this analysis is the better understanding how large-scale atmospheric patterns affect renewable resources over Europe and to investigate what extent dynamical predictions variability might be used formulate empirical prediction local climate conditions (relevant for energy sector). increasing integration into power mix making electricity supply more vulnerable variability, therefore need skillful weather predictions. Forecasting seasonal variations relevant variables can help transition entire industry make informed decision-making. At timescale described by recurring persistent, pressure circulation anomalies that interest vast geographical areas. main North Atlantic region (Euro Teleconnections, EATCs) drive in surface Europe. We analyze reanalysis dataset ERA5 multi-system forecast service provided Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S). found observed EATC indices are strongly correlated with variables. However, relationship between impacts not accurately reproduced systems. This opens door employ hybrid dynamical-statistical methods. idea consists combining EATCs reconstructed multiple systems benchmarked these forecasts direct variable from also climatology. suggests methodology bring several improvements Essential Variables.

Droughts in Amazonia: Spatiotemporal Variability, Teleconnections, and Seasonal Predictions
Abstract Most Amazonia drought studies have focused on rainfall deficits and their impact on river discharges, while the analysis of other important driver variables, such as temperature and soil moisture, has attracted less attention. Here we try to better understand the spatiotemporal dynamics of Amazonia droughts and associated climate teleconnections as characterized by the Palmer Drought S...
متن کاملAssessing The Skill And Value Of Seasonal Climate Predictions
The main driver for the large research effort devoted to developing and improving seasonal climate prediction models is the fact that El Nino Southern Oscillation (ENSO) events (quasiperiodic fluctuations in Indo-Pacific Ocean sea surface temperatures and mean sea level pressure) represent, on a global scale, the greatest source of interannual climate variability and are, to some extent, predic...
متن کاملEnergy efficiency in a building complex through seasonal storage of thermal energy in a confined aquifer
Confined aquifers are formations surrounded by impermeable layers called cap rocks and bed rocks. These aquifers are suitable for the seasonal storage of thermal energy. A confined aquifer was designed to meet the cooling and heating energy needs of a residential building complex located in Tehran, Iran. The annual cooling and heating energy needs of the buildings were estimated to be 8.7...
متن کاملCurrent Approaches to Seasonal-to-interannual Climate Predictions
This review paper presents an assessment of the current state of knowledge and capability in seasonal climate prediction at the end of the 20th century. The discussion covers the full range of issues involved in climate forecasting, including (1) the theory and empirical evidence for predictability; (2) predictions of surface boundary conditions, such as sea surface temperatures (SSTs) that dri...
متن کاملTripoles: A New Class of Climate Teleconnections
Teleconnections in climate represent a persistent and large-scale temporal connection in a given climate variable between two distant geographical regions. They are known to impact and explain the variability in climate of many regions across the globe and have been a subject of interest to climatologists. Traditionally, climate teleconnections have been studied as a persistent relationship bet...
